Bangkalan, (regamedianews.com) – Tol Jembatan Suramadu resmi di gratiskan oleh Presiden RI Joko Widodo pada tanggal 27 Oktober 2018, peresmian tersebut di laksanakan jembatan Suramadu sisi Madura.
Tentu di bebaskannya biaya tarif jembatan Suramadu membawa dampak positif – negatif untuk empat kabupaten di Pulau Madura, terutama bagi Kabupaten Bangkalan yang merupakan pintu utama penghubung Madura dengan surabaya.
Pelabuhan Kamal yang juga merupakan penghubung Surabaya dengan pulau Madura di sisi barat melalui perkapalan, terindikasi akan semakin larut akibat dampak Jembatan Suramadu Gratis.
Pasalnya, sejak beroperasi pada 10 Juni 2009 silam, Jembatan Suramadu memang membuat kapal fery Ujung-Kamal sepi penumpang.
Di gratiskannya jembatan Suramadu bisa semakin menambah sepinya penumpang kapal penyeberangan di Pelabuhan Ujung Surabaya-Kamal Madura.
Menurut Jokowi disela peresmian mengatakan, setiap kebijakan pasti menimbulkan pro dan kontra. Dia menyerahkan urusan kapal penyeberangan kepada Gubernur Jatim Soekarwo.
“Biar Gubernur Pakde Karwo dan Bupati cari solusinya,” katanya di Jembatan Suramadu Surabaya, Jawa Timur, Sabtu (27/10).
Sementara Bupati Bangkalan R. Abdul Latif menjelaskan terkait status pelabuhan kamal tersebut. Pihaknya mengatakan, terkait pelabuhan kamal bisa duduk bersama untuk disetting sebagai pelabuhan wisata, bisa kita renovasi serta bisa jadikan tempat wisata.
“Jika memang di setujui dari pihak pengusaha kapal, bisa di bentuk sebagai wisata, artinya kapal itu bisa di renovasi di bentuk seperti restoran apung, wisata ini bagus kalau di realisasikan,” pungkasnya. (sfn/har)
