Bupati Aceh Selatan Tgk. Amran, menerima kunjungan Staf Khusus Presiden Republik Indonesia, Billy Mambrasar, di Pendopo Bupati Aceh Selatan, Kamis (18/02/21).

Kedatangan ini merupakan bagian dari rangkaian kunjungannya ke Provinsi Aceh, setelah sebelumnya berkunjung ke Universitas Syiah Kuala dan Universitas Teuku Umar.

Tujuan kedatangan Billy Mambrasar antara lain dalam rangka pelaksanaan program Petani Milenial, yakni program untuk menciptakan 2.5 juta petani di usia muda dan produktif.

Selain itu juga, kedatangan staf presiden tersebut dalam rangka mendorong peningkatan UMKM, khususnya bagi para pengusaha muda, atau biasa disebut kalangan milenial.

Bupati Aceh Selatan Tgk. Amran mengharapkan, dengan kedatangan staf Presiden dapat menampung serta membawa aspirasi dari Aceh Selatan maupun kepala daerah lain di Barat Selatan kepada pemerintah pusat.

“Kami juga berharap agar Billy Mambrasar dapat mendukung penegerian Politeknik Aceh Selatan, agar menjadi politeknik negeri pertama di Barat Selatan Aceh,” tutur Tgk Amran.

Selanjutnya, Billy Mambrasar menyampaikan perasaan bahagia bisa tiba di Aceh Selatan, daerah yang sangat indah dan berbatasan langsung dengan laut.

Billy juga mengatakan, dirinya diberikan mandat menggandeng komunitas atau pemuda lokal untuk menjadikan mereka-mereka yang tidak tertarik menjadi Petani untuk terjun ke Sektor ini.

“Kemudian menjadikan mereka yang telah terjun ke sektor ini untuk memiliki kemampuan kewirausahaan,” ujar Billy kepada awak media, Kamis (18/02).

Staf Khusus Presiden RI yang berasal dari Papua ini mengungkapkan kekagumannya, karena Bupati Aceh Selatan dan Bupati Aceh Barat Daya keduanya dengan bangga mengaku memiliki latar belakang petani, dan berhasil.

“Seharusnya ini dapat menjadi contoh, bahwa petani bukan profesi yang dipandang rendah. Bupati Aceh Selatan seharusnya dapat menjadi role model, atau contoh sukses,” ungkap Billy. (Asmar Endi)
