Jakarta -Agus Martowardodjo Gubernur Bank Indonesia (BI) dan Basuki Hadimuljono Menteri Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan Rakyat (PUPR) hari ini Rabu (31/5) menandatangani kesepakatan bersama tentang kerja sama dan koordinasi dalam rangka pelaksanaan tugas kedua Kementerian/Lembaga tersebut, acara tersebut juga dihadiri para dirut BUMN Perbankan dan Badan Usaha Jalan Tol.
Penandatanganan tersebut searah dengan rencana pemberlakuan rencana pembayaran non tunai pada seluruh Jalan Tol yang ada di Indonesia yang rencanya akan mulai diberlakukan pada Oktober mendatang
“Dengan penandatangan kerjasama ini, saya berharap tugas-tugas kami di PUPR akan jadi lebih ringan dan lancar, bukan sebaliknya. Kami berharap bisa diayomi oleh BI untuk melaksanakan salah satu tugas kami, dan kami juga bisa ikut berkontribusi dalam program GNNT atau pembayaran non tunai di jalan tol,” kata Basuki Hadimuljono menteri PUPR dalam sambutannya di Gedung BI
Sedangkan Bank Indonesia, punya tugas mewujudkan gerakan nasional non tunai, bekerjasama dengan menteri terkait terutama dibidang tol dalam hal ini menteri PUPR, karena geliat pembayaran non tunai gerbang tol di Indonesia masih rendah hanya kisaran 23% saja.
“Kalau kita sudah punya jalan tol, efisiensi belum maksimal kalau bayarnya masih pakai tunai. Karena semua terpaksa harus ngantre ketika masuk ke pintu tol, Jadi banyak sekali waktu yang terbuang juga, berkurangnya efisiensi karena biaya bahan bakar menjadi besar karena antrean itu, dan lain-lain,” jelas Agus Martowardojo
Selain hal tersebut ada Beberapa poin kesepakatan lainnya, di antaranya adalah pertukaran perolehan data dan informasi studi, peningkatan kompetensi Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM), hingga peningkatan keuangan inklusif.
