Madura, (regamedianews.com) – Striker asing baru yang bernegara Prancis, Mamadou Samssa, telah resmi di kontrak Madura United. Kehadiran striker baru ini akan menambah kekuatan club yang berjuluk Laskar Sapeh Kerap.
Manajer Madura United, Haruna Soemitro mengatakan, bahwa pihaknya bakal mendatangkan striker berdarah Prancis ini. Mantan pemain Olympique Marseille itu akan mengisi slot pemain asing yang ditinggalkan Beto de Paula.
“Kesepakatan dengan Mamadou Samassa sudah resmi, untuk kemungkinan bermain, kami masih menunggu pengesahan dari operator liga,” kata Haruna, Jum’at (27/07/2018).
Meski telah menandatangani kontrak, Samassa masih belum bisa diturunkan saat timnya bertandang ke markas Barito Putera, Sabtu (28/07/2018) nanti. Samassa perlu menyelesaikan beberapa urusan administrasi lain seperti Kitas.
“Samassa rencananya bakal mengenakan nomor punggung 9 di Madura United. Nomor itu merupakan peninggalan Raphael Maitimo di putaran pertama yang sudah hengkang ke Persebaya Surabaya,” tandasnya.
Menurut Haruna, Samassa merupakan pemain kelahiran Prancis yang memiliki darah keturunan Mali-Senegal. Dia memulai karier sepak bola di negara asalnya dengan bergabung Le Mans di karier junor.
“Di klub itulah pemain 32 tahun ini menjalani debut profesional pada 2006. Setelah itu, dia pindah ke beberapa klub Prancis lain seperti, Olympique Marseille, Valenciennes, dan Stade Brestois,” ungkapnya.
Selain itu, Samassa juga pernah berkiprah di Italia dengan bergabung Chievo Verona dan Delfino Pescara. Terakhir, pemain berusia 32 tahun itu masuk skuat klub asal Malaysia, T-Team, pada musim 2017. (*)
