Bogel diamankan dari kediamannya oleh tim gabungan Direskrimum dan direskrimsus Polda Jatim pada Kamis (25/5) setelah pihak kepolisian berhasil melacak keberadaan pelaku melalui Cyber Patrol Bid Humas Polda Jatim
Penangkapan Bogel adalah berawal saat Bogel menulis pernyataan komentar yang berisi penghinaan terhadap Kapolri di akun instagram divhumas Polri, saat itu Div Humas mabes Polri melalui akun instagramnya memposting Jendral Polisi Tito Karnavian bersama seorang Polwan yang mendapat penghargaan
