“HS ditangkap karena melakukan penebangan 3 batang pohon jati milik perhutani. Dalam menjalankan aksinya pelaku menggunakan gergaji tangan, dan dipotong menjadi 2 meter sebanyak 18 batang,” ungkap Kasubag Humas Polres Blitar Iptu M Burhanuddin, Senin (24/06/2019).
Lanjut Burhanuddin mengatakan, dari hasil penangkapan, petugas juga berhasil mengamankan sejumlah alat bukti berupa 18 batang kayu jati gelondongan, 3 buah potongan tunggak pohon jati dan 1 unit sepeda motor Honda Grand warna hitam tanpa plat nomor.
“Akibat perbuatannya, pelaku dijerat Pasal 82 ayat (1) huruf c UURI No. 18 th 2013 ttg Pencegahan dan Pemberantasan Perusakan Hutan, dengan ancaman hukuman diatas 5 tahun penjara”, pungkasnya. (mst)
